HistoryrumeL was established March 1, 2000 by Bill Owen in cooperation with Jeff Schoen, President of Innovative Computer Engineering (ICE) to aid in the design and marketing of ICE supporting hardware. Its mission is the design of low cost digital hardware products with supporting software for the defense industry and the ICE hardware line of products. Design SpecializationrumeL specializes in the development of low cost, high quality printed circuit boards that utilize "Commercial Off The Shelf" (COTS) components for data acquisition/analysis systems. PCB design specialization includes PCB layout, FPGAs, DSPs, telephony ICs, A/D converters, fiber optics, networking protocol ICs, along with control logic that completes design solutions. Software development includes the development of drivers and user interfaces for the hardware product designs-languages for development include C, Fortran, Java, X-Midas, and ICE's NeXtMidas . |
