Cable Rating-

                          1) PCAB - Plenum Rated

                          2) CAB    - Non-Plenum Rated

Connector #1/2 Type Designator-

                          1) S - SMS (ELCO) Connector

                          2) D - SDN (AMP) Connector

                          3) B - Dat-o-lite (Burndy) Connector

Signal Info Designator-

                          1) I - Invert MSBit (D15)

Cable Types/Part Numbers

SDN (AMP) to SDN (AMP)

These are point-to-point "flow through" connections.  Ex. Pin A1at one end of the cable connects to pin A1 at the other end.  B1 at one end would connect to B1 at the other end, and so on for all pins.

Part Number: The Designator (Letter) "D" represents SDN cables.

Part Number Example: RI-PCABDD-HS30 (Plenum Rated High Speed 30 Ft. SDN (AMP) to SDN (AMP) cable)

SMS (ELCO)

A list of of the SDN connections to ELCO can be found below:

Part Number: The Designator (Letter) S is used for the SMS (ELCO) end and the letter "D" is used for the SDN (AMP) end.

Part Number Example: RI-PCABSD-HS40 (Plenum Rated High Speed 40 Ft. SMS (ELCO) to SDN (AMP) cable)

SMS (ELCO) to SDN (AMP) w/MSBit (D15) Inverted

These connections are the same as for the diagram above except for D15.  The D15 bit is inverted for this cable and connections for all other signals are made the same to the ELCO cable except for D15 which is listed below.

Part Number: The Designator (Letter) S is used for the SMS (ELCO) end and the letter "D" is used for the SDN (AMP) end.  The signal designator "I" is used to show the MSBit is inverted.

Part Number Example: RI-PCABSDI-HS50 (Plenum Rated High Speed 50 Ft. SMS (ELCO) to SDN (AMP) with MSBIT inverted cable)

High Speed Cables

Guaranteed Operation Up To 101 MHz For Distances Of Up To 60 Feet.

Guaranteed Operation Up To   70 MHz For Distances Of 61 To 80 Feet.

    Connectors

        ELCO SMS Connectors   Cost  $150/each.

        AMP   SDN Connectors    Cost  $170/each.

    Cable

        Plenum Rated Cable         Cost: $7.00/Foot

        Non-Plenum Rated Cable Cost: $4.50/Foot

Example Cost: 2 ELCO SMS Connections + 40 Ft Of Plenum Rated Cable

                           (2 x $150) + (40 x $7) = $300 + $280 = $580
